This is a story about a boy and a girl, but it’s not a love story. Frances then develops a relationship with the boy across the street, Aled. The protagonist of this book, Frances is the head girl and an overachiever who is burdened by the weight of her academic pressure, she also happens to be a fangirl of a YouTube podcast called Universe City. Let me first give you a short summary of Radio Silence. This book deals with academic pressure, platonic relationships and mental illness. Her first book that I read was Radio Silence and I instantly fell in love. ![]() ![]() The characters portrayed in her books are relatable, honest and a raw depiction of teenagers nowadays. Oseman got her first publishing deal when she was only 17, since then she has published some of the best YA fiction. She also happens to be one of my favorite authors. Alice Oseman’s books include Solitaire, Heartstopper (graphic novel), I Was Born for this, Loveless and Radio Silence.
